Job hunting is an anxious business, and when you hit send on that all-important application, you hope everything is perfect.
So imagine how Twitter user David Byron Queen must’ve felt when he realised he’d accidentally sent a prospective employer a photo of a dog instead of his resume.
And not just a cute pet photo, but an image of a dog dressed as the late Apple founder Steve Jobs.

Of course, it's given the internet a good laugh, with more than 17,000 retweets.
So dressing your dog like Steve Jobs IS normal! pic.twitter.com/UXQFSFQ3uH

I thought it was your email signature which would have made me laugh hysterically. Most cover letter/email introductions are so heavy, it’d be fun to get a joke
— Megan M (@CozmoMeg86) June 14, 2022
I can't stop laughing at that dog's face

You're hired!
Many said they’d hire David despite - or indeed because of - the mistake.
As a hiring manager, this would absolutely DELIGHT me to receive.
— Jorts Life Skills (@tremonenta) June 14, 2022
I would hire you ON THE SPOT.
— AE Vorro (@witavorr) June 14, 2022
(This is probably why I am in charge of hiring exactly no one.)
I’d hire you but you have to bring the dog every day.
— Bumble (@theTwits7) June 14, 2022
Given the positive response from all the hiring managers here, I may start attaching a photo of my dog to applications from here on out! 🤔
— Mojo Rising (@BrunnenGeez) June 14, 2022
We’ve all been there, right?
Whether applying for jobs or in the job we already do, we’ve all done something cringey at one time or another right? Plenty of people were willing to share their equally hilarious/mortifying moments.
One time I set my “out of office” memo and added a link to what I thought was the staff directory but in fact it linked to a dog comic. My co-workers called me at home laughing their asses off. (The dog comic was quite good, as a matter of fact.)

Accidentally (and inexplicably) sent a GIF of King Bob the Minion with a job application years back.

Somehow, got the job 😂 pic.twitter.com/zxLcpM6mrc

I once sang the ABCs to a lawyer when I applied for a file clerking job!#TrueStory
Hey, you never know what might happen!

One of the best jobs I ever had: I got lost twice on the way to the interview, was rushing and got a speeding ticket, arrived 1/2 hour late and totally frazzled, then called the hiring manager by the wrong name. 🤣🤔#BeMemorable
But did David get the job?!
You were hired immediately, right? pic.twitter.com/IJiL9MAwUh
— jack mcgraw (@redmcgraw1) June 14, 2022
I know you don't want to hear this... but sadly no, David didn’t get the job.
“I tried doggedly, but alas… no ‘job’,” he wrote in response to several people asking. He also posted a cropped image of the dog, making the canine’s expression look less than impressed.
— david byron queen (@byron_queen) June 14, 2022
Bad luck... but maybe David just used the wrong dog pic?
If you’d sent me this picture if a dog portraying Patrick Stewart, I’d have given you the job! pic.twitter.com/BKqguKwNo7

Netflix is bringing the global phenomenon Squid Game to life with the biggest reality competition series ever, Squid Game: The Challenge.
With both the largest cast and lump sum cash prize in reality TV history, 456 real players will enter the game in pursuit of a life-changing reward of $4.56 million.
As they compete through a series of games inspired by the original show - plus surprising new additions - their strategies, alliances, and character will be put to the test while competitors are eliminated around them.
The stakes are high, but in this game, the worst fate is going home empty-handed.
Recruitment is open now at SquidGameCasting.com. For this round, the Front Man is in search of English-language speakers from any part of the world.
“Squid Game took the world by storm with Director Hwang’s captivating story and iconic imagery. We’re grateful for his support as we turn the fictional world into reality in this massive competition and social experiment,” said Brandon Riegg, Netflix VP of Unscripted and Documentary Series. “Fans of the drama series are in for a fascinating and unpredictable journey as our 456 real-world contestants navigate the biggest competition series ever, full of tension and twists, with the biggest ever cash prize at the end.”
The 10-episode competition series is a co-production between Studio Lambert (The Circle) and The Garden (24 Hours in A&E), part of ITV Studios, and it will be filmed in the UK. Stephen Lambert, Tim Harcourt, and Toni Ireland from Studio Lambert and John Hay, Nicola Hill, and Nicola Brown from The Garden will serve as executive producers.
The scripted drama Squid Game holds the record as Netflix’s most popular series of all time, with over 1.65 billion view hours in the first 28 days after its September 2021 premiere.
On June 12, 2022, Squid Game was officially renewed for season 2 as Netflix and Director Hwang confirmed they will once again team up for a whole new round.
This is not the first time we've seen a real-life version of the show as a game show, MR Beast did a fantastic recreation in his version that had a cash prize of $456,000 with the video being seen over 97 million times on Youtube.

Here's a conversation starter for you at work today, this guy has had his favourite pair of Nike trainers tattooed to his feet.
Dean Gunther is the tattoo artist who had to design the artwork for the bloke to make it look like he was wearing shoes, even though he is barefoot.
He thinks he'll never have to buy shoes again, but let's let that reality sink in next time he goes for a walk through someone's backyard that owns dogs or a kid's play area after they've just played with the LEGO.
He started by finding the shoes that his client liked the most in a 3D image, then replicated that design on the guy's tootsies before applying the tattoo ink.
@dean.gunther who needs shoes if you can permanently tattoo them to your feet.#shoestattoo#art#tattoo#nike@nike ♬ ALMOST HOME - Mad Adix, Marc Steinmeier
Some of the comments on TikTok include:
"Just Don't" from one user, or "Fun idea but awfully executed. Definitely done by somebody who bought a machine on eBay" from another.
Some users loved it though with one saying "what the heck, this is so bloody ridiculous that I love it".
What do you think? If you had to get your favourite footwear tattooed on your hooves, what would it be?
This isn't the first time the Tattoo artist has gone viral. He recently had a video blow up after he saved another guy money on a gym membership by getting abs tattooed on his body.
@dean.gunther How to get a 6 pack in 2 days! you tattoo it!my bro was tired of spending hours in the gym, so I gave him a 6 pack tattoo, ready for summer. enjoy#6packtattoo #cosmetictattoos#tattoos#viral#fyp#6pack#6packabs ♬ Low Down - venbee & Dan Fable
