A houseplant has sold for $25,094 (NZ$27,100) on a New Zealand auction site.
The very rare white variegated Rhaphidophora Tetrasperma was listed on website Trade Me by user hurley88.
The listing described the plant as having “8 leaves with the 9th just about to uncurl. Each leaf has excellent variegation as does the stem and is well rooted in a 14cm pot.”
The sale attracted 248 bids and came down to a fierce bidding war between two people who raised the price by $3,000 in the final few minutes alone.
One person commented on the listing page: “Out of curiosity do you come with it to take care of it at that price !!!!” To which the seller replied: “😂 in home care is extra”.
Trade Me spokesperson Millie Silvester told CNN that the plant was "the most expensive houseplant ever sold" on the auction site.
She said while rare varieties were commanding "massive prices”, even everyday indoor plants were seeing big jumps in prices thanks to our growing (pun intended) passion for indoor plants.
Better check your houseplants to see if you've got a pot of gold sitting in a corner!

Bye bye boring bread crumbs, hello tasty 'tato chips: this one's for the fussy eaters and lazy cooks of the world!
Next time you've got a pack of crisps in the pantry, crush them up and use them to coat your next serve of fish or chicken.
It's a cooking hack brought to our attention by Starlos Fishotopia, but apparently used world over, and it's one we can definitely get behind because it's not only delicious, but oh so easy!
Simply grab your favourite flavour of potato chips and smash them up with a rolling pin.
Coat your meat with flour and egg - as you usually would - but then sub out the bread crumbs and bring in the crisps for a tastier and crunchier final product.
Most people suggest using Salt & Vinegar chips for fish, but others have pushed the creative boundaries.
Ricko says, "Try it with Red Rock Deli Lime & Black Pepper, you can thank me later".
Glen Saltmarsh suggests Thins Light & Tangy.
Meanwhile Nathan Kirkwood likes to go the whole-hog with "crushed pork crackling chips" said to taste "awesome".
For the chicken fans, we've heard crushed up Doritos and Twisties is a flavour explosion.

A man in Cape Cod must have thought he was living out a real-life version of Pinocchio where he was Geppetto trapped inside the Whale.
Michael Packard is a lobster diver who ended up inside the mouth of a humpback whale!
“All of a sudden, I just felt this huge bump and everything went dark and I could sense that I was moving,” he said.
Micheal's first thought "Omg did I just get bit by a shark", but he then felt around and realised there were no sharp teeth he didn't feel badly wounded so he must be in a whales mouth.
Understandably he thought at that moment he was going to die. The whale then breached the surface of the water and shook his head sending Michael flying free landing in the water.
It's an amazing story of survival and although the tale seems unbelievable, humans being accidentally swallowed by whales might be a rare occurrence but it certainly has happened.
One thing is for sure whales don't set out to eat people and would rather a meal of small aquatic lifeforms like fish, squid and krill. No wonder it spat him out.
