In a post on Twitter, Hoppus confirmed the devastating diagnosis. He wrote, "For the past three months I've been undergoing chemotherapy for cancer. I have cancer. It sucks and I'm scared, and at the same time I'm blessed with incredible doctors and family and friends to get me through this.”
"I still have months of treatment ahead of me but I'm trying to remain hopeful and positive," he continued. "Can't wait to be cancer free and see you all at a concert in the near future. Love to you all.”

"Scans indicate that the chemo is working! I still have months of treatment ahead, but it’s the best possible news.”
“I’m so grateful and confused and also sick from last week’s chemo. But the poison the doctors pump into me and the kind thoughts and wishes of the people around me are destroying this cancer. Just gonna keep fighting…”
In a previous video on his Twitch channel, he revealed he was classified with Stage 4a diffuse large B-cell lymphoma.
According to www.healthline.com Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma is a type of blood cancer.
"Lymphomas are the most common type of blood cancers. There are two types of lymphoma: Hodgkin’s and non-Hodgkin’s. Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma is a non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma (NHL). Out of over 60 types of NHLs, diffuse large B-cell lymphoma is the most common. DLBCL is the most aggressive or fast-growing form of NHL. It can lead to death if left untreated."
Hoppus is keeping fans and followers updated on his social media accounts.
I put together a little cancer garden in the yard with mutated varieties because I feel connected to them through my own cells’ mutation. I sit here in the morning with them, drinking my coffee, and we’re like “well this is weird…” pic.twitter.com/U8SEWIc4wg

Had chemo on Wednesday and felt like hot garbage and haven’t really slept since. But this morning, this minute right now, I feel okay. I’ll take it.

Congratulations to Halsey and her screenwriter boyfriend, Alev Aydin, who have welcomed their first child together: "Ender Ridley Aydin".
She wrote on the Instagram post announcement:
"Gratitude. For the most “rare” and euphoric birth. Powered by love.
Ender Ridley Aydin
7/14/2021"
"Ender" comes from the Turkish word meaning “rare.” But given Halsey's love for Science fiction, it could be a reference to the central character from "Enders Game"
Halsey’s pregnancy is said to have been a massive influence on her next album titled, "If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power". Her 4th studio album is set for release on August 27

Forget about scare tactics, a new Aussie vaccine ad has been released and this time it's not from the government.
Not long ago, the Federal Government released a video advertisement in an attempt to boost vaccination numbers but quite frankly the content was graphic and the message morbid.
this is the "graphic" COVID TV ad created by the federal government, to run in Sydney from tonight - warning people to stay home, get tested and vaccinated
— Josh Butler (@JoshButler) July 11, 2021
warning: It is quite confronting #auspol pic.twitter.com/FQofD1zPOF
Many Aussies are deeming it too confrontational, particularly when compared to the attempts of our Kiwi-counterparts.
So finally and thankfully, we have a vaccine ad that's worth watching and - in an unexpected plot twist- it's all thanks to The Melbrourne Symphony Orchestra.
Dear Victoria is a message from the state's arts community.
"We've trained for a lifetime to perform for audiences. Now we call on our community and the Victorian public to give us the performance of their lifetime; to keep our community safe, and to keep our loved arts and entertainment industry alive."
The spectacularly creative ad features performers such as Tim Minchin, Virginia Gay, Meow Meow, Tripod, members of the Australian Ballet, the Melbourne Theatre Company, plus musicians from The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.
Our arts community is doing everything they can to recover & reactivate through the pandemic. I'm really proud to share this with you. https://t.co/D8BXYHrGHd

Amazing ad, hope the arts on Victoria can return as soon as possible. Every person who wants to enter to a venue shall be vaccinated, this methods can accelerate and motivate the people to get vaccinated. @VicHealth

Assistant Treasurer and MP, Danny Pearson, has endorsed the ad and encouraged Aussies to "play your part and get vaccintated."
"If you can get vaccinated, please book in or visit a Hub – the sooner we get vaccinated, the sooner we can get back to doing the things we love."

British far-right commentator Katie Hopkins will be deported from Australia after her visa was cancelled.
Ms Hopkins was brought to Australia by Network Seven to join its reality television program Big Brother.
But she was dropped from the show after deliberately disobeying safety protocols in hotel quarantine.
Home Affairs Minister Karen Andrews described the behaviour as shameful and has since cancelled her visa.
"We will be getting her out of the country as soon as we can arrange that," Ms Andrews said on Monday.
"I am hoping that will happen imminently."
Ms Andrews said the commentator's antics - flouting quarantine rules and potentially putting staff and police at risk - were a slap in the face to people going through lockdowns and Australians stranded overseas.
The minister appeared to blame the NSW government for Ms Hopkins coming to Australia, with her visa granted on the basis of economic benefit.
But the federal government is ultimately responsible for issuing visas.
Questions have been raised over how Ms Hopkins was allowed into the country.
She has described migrants as cockroaches, labelled Islam repugnant and called for a "final solution" in response to a terror attack.
During a round of television interviews, the home affairs minister was repeatedly pressed on how Ms Hopkins was deemed a person of good character.
"Well, she's clearly not someone that we want to keep in this country for a second longer than we have to," Ms Andrews said.
NSW Health Minister Brad Hazzard said film and television production companies routinely submitted visa applications.
Mr Hazzard said so long as arriving passengers entered the country safely, covered their own quarantine costs and did not take the place of returning Australians, their requests were usually granted.
He was also shocked by Ms Hopkins' behaviour.
"To think she could think the measures we are taking to keep our community safe can be treated with such juvenile, imbecilic behaviour is mind-boggling," Mr Hazzard told reporters in Sydney.
"To think that she thinks it is acceptable to put our staff at risk, and to put our broader community at risk, is completely abhorrent.
"I hope she is on the first plane back."
Ms Hopkins is due to depart Australia on Monday afternoon.
