Musician and filmmaker Rob Zombie known for his hard R gore-fest films has released a brief teaser trailer for his upcoming horror-comedy based on the 1960's classic “The Munsters”.
The film brings back the iconic characters with stars Zombie likes to work with regularly. Jeff Daniel Phillips as Herman Munster, Sheri Moon Zombie as Lily Munster & Daniel Roebuck as Grandpa.
Watch the full trailer here:
Other characters given the Zombie treatment include Richard Brake as Dr. Henry Augustus Wolfgang and classic Doctor Who's Sylvester McCoy as Igor.
Zombie's history in horror has had some thinking this could be a dark reimagining of the show but he has stated that this will honour the original and is strictly a family film rated PG.
Filming in Budapest, an exact replica of the classic show's Mockingbird Lane Mansion was built for the film and looking at the teaser trailer they are really going for authenticity.
“The Munsters” will be released to theatres and via streaming on Peacock later in the year.

A hilarious video of a gorilla chasing an astronaut on the International Space Station is doing the rounds of social media again.
The short clip, first posted in 2016, shows a gorilla chasing an astronaut through zero gravity in the small confines of the space station.
The video was shared on Twitter account Latest in space this week and has had 18 million views.
Astronaut Mark Kelly once smuggled a full gorilla suit aboard the International Space Station. He didn't tell anyone about it. One day, without anyone knowing, he put it on. pic.twitter.com/6P7LfC69b5

The caption said: Astronaut Mark Kelly once smuggled a full gorilla suit aboard the International Space Station. He didn't tell anyone about it. One day, without anyone knowing, he put it on.”
But in fact, it was Mark’s twin brother Scott in the gorilla suit. He was chasing British astronaut Tim Peake.
Mark, a retired NASA astronaut, sent the gorilla suit to his brother Scott for a bit of fun to help him pass the time while he was doing a one-year stint on the space station.
Needed a little humor to lighten up a #YearInSpace. Go big, or go home. I think I'll do both. #SpaceApehttps://t.co/Ift8VdDR4C

Why did I not see this pre-pandemic. This could have gotten us through covid!

I showed my son the video and asked if he wanted to be an Astronaut. He replies, "no, I want to be the flying Gorilla"!

@StationCDRKelly @aiaa I get it now! A modern space version of "Planet of the Apes"! The absolute funniest thing I've seen all week :o)

But the truth is out there....
"Of course people liked it. How can you not like space gorilla?" Scott told People magazine earlier this year in an interview talking about the ongoing popularity of the video.
But he also revealed the video was staged, that they knew it would be funny to show Tim swimming through the weightlessness hilariously trying to escape the gorilla.
Staged or not, it's still funny to imagine being in space expecting an alien and seeing something more familiar but also more terrifying.
Too be honest, seeing a gorilla in space would be far more shocking than seeing an alien. I mean, in space you’d at least expect some alien/unknown entity, not a 170kg full grown gorilla, notorious for they’re inability to fly/defy gravity.

Our new favourite podcast just dropped and it's bringing back all the nostalgia but with fresh faces (voices) and great Aussie fun.
Family Feud with Pete Helliar is that same gameshow we grew up with and know and love, but as a podcast.
So rather than playing along at home, you can play along in the car, or for a jog or when you sneak your headphones in while the boss is giving you another long-winded speech about how the office dishes won't do themselves. (yes they will mate.. yes, they, will).
The podcast features Australian comedians, musicians, chefs, and actors including Waleed Aly, Tony Armstrong, Tom Gleeson, Osher Günsberg, Claire Hooper, Nazeem Hussain, Samuel Johnson, Meshel Laurie, Jessica Mauboy, Luke McGregor, Pia Miranda, Dave O’Neil, Matt Preston, Denise Scott, Ryan Shelton, Merrick Watts and Will & Woody.
Best of all it's hosted by Pete Helliar. You know, the funny guy that is on every Channel 10 show except maybe Hawaii Five-O? (or did we just miss that episode?)
The first episode just dropped and it's a cracker with Luke McGregor vs Meshel Laurie with a theme of "Love at First Sight".
We've already subscribed so don't miss the next ep follow this link on the device you listen to your podcasts on - Family Feud with Pete Helliar.
