Elton John has announced that he is making his return to Australia and New Zealand in 2023, adding what he’s dubbing ‘encore’ shows to his farewell tour.
The new shows will take place in Newcastle, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane then to New Zealand in January.
The music icon began his ‘Farewell Yellow Brick Road’ tour in a pre covid time way back in September 2018, and by the end will have played over 300 shows spanning across five continents.
We can finally ‘thank’ covid from something because it forced the icon to reschedule his New Zealand shows and thus he took the opportunity to make his return down under as part of his rescheduled New Zealand leg.
At the end of this tour, Sir Elton will have graced our country for more than 200 concerts over his 18 tours to Australia, which happens to be the third most for any country outside the UK and the US.
Tickets go on sale Monday August 1, with pre-sales available.
- Tuesday, January 10th McDonald Jones Stadium, Newcastle, NSW
- Friday, January 13th AAMI Park, Melbourne, VIC
- Wednesday, January 18th Allianz Stadium, Sydney, NSW
- Saturday, January 21st Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane, QLD
- Tuesday, January 24th Orangetheory Stadium, Christchurch, NZ
- Friday, January 27th Mt Smart Stadium, Auckland, NZ

Check out these 7 animals with a flair for the dramatic in their colouring!
Sometimes it's hard to tell if things are real on the internet, especially when you see some wildly coloured animal that surely must be fake.
That's what we thought when we saw a pink armadillo and a blue lobster recently. But no, they exist!
So we went searching for some more colourful animals that looked so amazingly brilliant we thought they must've been photoshopped.
And not just birds (we've only included one) because that would be too obvious or easy.
Check them out.
1. Pink Fairy Armadillo
Armadillos are known for their leathery shell and big claws for digging. And then there's this little cutie, which seems to be made of fairy floss and cuteness.
You know an animal is special when your social media manager has to check to make sure it's real.

Meet the pink fairy armadillo. At about 6 inches long, it's the world's smallest armadillo. The shell’s color comes from blood vessels close to the surface. https://t.co/c345qKajqr pic.twitter.com/5HU40yg2TG
This is just a guinea pig queen dressed for battle, Smithsonian, you can't trick me 😤

2. Mandarinfish
This gorgeous fish proves the old saying that looks can be deceiving. The Mandarinfish stinks and is toxic too. Look but don't touch!
They may look pretty, but #mandarinfish secrete foul-smelling mucus and a toxin-filled substance, perhaps to deter predators. pic.twitter.com/UbSKnrN4MY

3. Panda Ant
That’s one furry ant! Except it’s a wasp. And the female has no wings. Seems like a rough deal to us. Reminds us of a bamboo-loving Panda or a dalmation, which is pretty cute until you learn its sting is so strong it's been given the nickname of "cow killer".
Despite looking like an ant and being referred as such, it is in fact a form of wingless wasp. This insect is also known as cow-killer. Females possess thicker fur but lack wings. The furry panda ant lives for about 2 years. pic.twitter.com/xyN3nhcnZg

4. Blue Lobster
Animals you don't expect to be blue. Lobster. Tick. They're extremely rare, so if you do catch one, think yourself lucky. And then be kind and throw it back.
This blue Lobster was caught off the coast of Portland yesterday and returned to the water to continue to grow. Blue lobsters are one in two million. pic.twitter.com/6chTk7PoLP

5. Bolivian Golden Bat
This is a newly discovered species and is now protected. Which is great, because we think it looks like its made from the filling of a Crunchie Bar and we'd probably eat it.

6. Pink-necked Green Pigeon
Pigeons are often thought of as "rats with wings", but not this one! How stunning!

rerminds me of rainbow ice cream, or fruit loops, or fruit tingles. Oh geez, now i want dessert!

7. Albino Alligator
Okay so obviously this one's an absence of colour, but we still think it's amazing to think of a fierce alligator being white. The babies hatch looking rather pink, but the adult is all white. If you saw it lying on the ground, you might think it's a marble statue and go for a closer look, which obviously would be a big mistake!

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have wed in a late-night Las Vegas drive-through chapel, culminating a relationship that stretched over two decades in two separate romances and headlined countless tabloid covers.
Lopez announced their marriage on Sunday in her newsletter for fans with the heading "We did it". Lopez initially made their engagement public in April on the same newsletter, "On the J Lo".
"Love is beautiful. Love is kind. And it turns out love is patient. Twenty years patient," wrote Lopez in a message signed Jennifer Lynn Affleck.

Lopez wrote that the couple flew to Las Vegas on Saturday, stood in line for their licence with four other couples and were wed just after midnight at the Little White Chape l, a chapel boasting a drive-through "tunnel of love".
Lopez said a Bluetooth speaker played their brief march down the aisle. She called it the best night of their lives.
"Stick around long enough and maybe you'll find the best moment of your life in a drive through in Las Vegas at 12.30 in the morning in the tunnel of love drive through with your kids and the one you'll spend forever with," Lopez said.
Jennifer Lopez just confirmed her marriage to Ben Affleck, sending out an email to fans.

News of their nuptials first spread Sunday after the Clark County clerk's office in Nevada showed that the pair obtained a marriage license that was processed Saturday.
The marriage licence filing showed that Lopez plans to take the name Jennifer Affleck.
Representatives for Lopez and Affleck declined to comment.
Lopez, 52, and Affleck, 49, famously dated in the early 2000s, spawning the nickname "Bennifer", and starred together in 2003's Gigli and 2004's Jersey Girl. They rekindled their romance last year.
In 2002 Affleck gave Lopez a large 6.1-carat pink diamond engagement ring, but they abruptly called off their wedding in 2003 and split up a few months later.
Affleck married Jennifer Garner in 2005, with whom he shares three children. They divorced in 2018.
Lopez has been married three times before. She was briefly married to Ojani Noa from 1997 to 1998 and to Cris Judd from 2001 to 2003.
She and singer Marc Anthony were married for a decade after wedding in 2004 and share 14-year-old twins together.
