So you've taken a bit of time out of your busy workday to click on this article and read. It's our hope that by the end, you would be able to assign a different role to multiple people in your workspace.

Let's begin...

First, let's look up from your desk and do a quick scan of the room. Who do you see?

We think every workplace has at least 1 of these types of people.

It's important to note that some of the roles are filled by more than one person and in some rare cases people can hog more than one role. Especially if it's a smaller office environment.

But let's take a really close look and see who in your workplace is one of these 5 people.

1) The Late One

You know this person with all the excuses in the world. "I was nearly here and realised I'd forgotten my..",

"You wouldn't believe it my alarm didn't go off", "We didn't have hot water so I had to go to my friend's house on the opposite side of town".

There are a thousand excuses and this person has used them all twice. In fact, it's common for the experienced tardy employee to just quietly walk in and sit down as if nothing has happened

2) The Coffee Addict One

This proud member of the team is rarely seen without a mug in hand fresh from the office kitchen with some form of either instant coffee or even out of a machine or pot. That's the beauty of it, they are not super fussy about where they get the coffee just that they need it, they need more and they need it now.

Look out for this one at the end of the day when they start to crash from too much caffeine consumption.

3) The Chatterbox

We would tell you about the chatterbox, but we just can't get a word in. You are best to just go ask them yourself after all there's no denying you know who this one is. They are also a great resource for office gossip.

4) The Sleepy One

This classic workplace character is the polar opposite to the coffee addict, they had a cup, it just didn't do anything. Look for the employee who has recently become a parent. They said goodbye to sleep and now are just getting by each day on a red frog and occasional nap under the desk.

5) The One with the Snacks

Follow the crumbs to the employee with the desk drawer full of that "snackalicious" goodness. It could be chocolates, protein bars or even a packet of chips. If you can shush the office for just a moment, you can track them back to their workplace habitat by the rustling sound of a packet being rummaged through for the last scraps of glorious food. Note: look for the desk that is positioned closest to the snack vending machine.

Now that you have your entire workplace pegged send them this article, after all, it's their turn to discover which one YOU are.

snake in russia

Warning: Graphic content. Viewer discretion is advised.

Ever swallowed a whole snake by mistake? This woman did. Snake haters beware, this is not a video for you… Medics have pulled a 1.2 metre snake from a woman’s stomach in Russia.

The terrifying footage shows the unidentified woman under general anaesthetic with the medical team using an extraction tool down the woman’s throat. After pulling up the tube, the medic realises the object is a snake and pulls back in disgust and then places the animal in a medical bucket.

The patient reportedly came in feeling unwell and was rushed to hospital not knowing what was wrong. It’s believed the reptile slithered down her throat whilst she was sleeping outdoors in her yard. The woman is from Levashi in the District of the Republic of Dagestan in Russia. It’s unknown what type of snake it was and how long it was inside the woman.

price scan policy dee2020

A shopper has revealed a little known policy that promises items will be given for free if a customer has been overcharged when scanning at a checkout.

A woman has posted on TikTok saying, “My brother didn’t believe this works,” showing a video of her brother returning a pack of sausages and getting a full refund whilst keeping the product.

TikTok user @deet2020 writes on the video:

"If you buy anything from Coles or Woolies and the price is different to what’s advertised, you get a FULL REFUND plus the item for FREE!"

The person in the video shows a photo on his phone, showing the advertised price on a pack of sausages and says:

"Look at how much it tells us for these sausages… ($5.63)

And look how much they charged us $7.50

So now we’re gonna get them for free."

They then show an image of the policy on the Coles website and a photo of the successful refund with the captions:

"Check your receipts people! And if they tell you otherwise, bring up the policy on their website. Then showing the receipts for the refund and free item. KACHING!"

Eagle-eyed viewers noticed that the price tag mentioned was actually for an item on the shelf above, and the item they bought was indeed correct however the policy does actually apply if the circumstances are as the buyer mentioned.

One comment wrote, “Not all superheroes wear capes” and another wrote, “thanks for sharing, had no idea!”

The policy the customer refers to is The Scanning Code of Practice which certain stores have voluntarily signed up to, including Woolworths, Coles and some IGA’s and Aldi). On the Coles website, they refer to this as their ‘Promise on Price Scanning.’

It mentions the policy applies to all Coles Supermarkets to ensure confidence in the pricing accuracy at their registers. It does exclude items without a barcode or Price Look Up number, 3rd Party Gift Card products and Telco recharge vouchers, tobacco and liquor products, items over $50 and when wrong PLU numbers are entered. From the Coles website it says in more detail:

What is a scanning error?
A scanning error occurs when an item has been scanned, or the correct PLU (Price Look Up) number entered, and a price higher than the advertised or ticketed price displays at the checkout or on the receipt.

What happens to multiple identical items?
If multiple, identical items scan at higher price than the advertised or ticketed shelf price, we will give you the first item FREE, and the remaining items at the advertised or ticketed shelf price.

What happens to single items?
If a single item scans at a higher price than the advertised or ticketed shelf price for that item, we will give you that item FREE.

So, make sure you check your receipts and if you get charged more than the advertised price, know you are entitled to the first item FREE!

A life-changing microwave hack has gone viral and it looks like we've been heating up food wrong this whole time.

For centuries - okay, maybe decades - we've been heating food and beverages with the humble microwave. Unfortunately, often when you throw your leftovers in for 2 minutes, they'll come out piping hot on the outside, but dead cold on the inside.

One TikTok user has come to save the day on this issue, with a hack that will ensure your food will always heat evenly from here on in.

Isabella Avila (aka @onlyjayus) posted the short video to TikTok with the caption, "Microwave Hacks".

"You know when you reheat food in the microwave and some parts of it are hot enough to burn your mouth but the other part of it is frozen?" Isabella asks.

"Well that happens because you shouldn't actually have your food in the middle of the plate, it should be on the edge so it can actually rotate around and cook evenly."

It's that simple. Just pop your food on the edge of the glass plate for perfect reheating!
