Some wanted to get in on the action, writing, "Y’all hiring? I’m tryna get some money with y’all 😅" and "I don’t even make what u made in 15 minutes a whole 8 hours, I need to find a job like this."

Although many questioned the pay, there were viewers who backed up the traffic controller and came to her defense with one explaining how dangerous the job was. They commented, "For the haters, traffic controllers risk their lives with oncoming traffic to protect the workers. It might look easy, but it’s also dangerous. 🙄 smh"

Seek.com.au, describes the job as: "Traffic Controllers direct the flow and speed of vehicles, and ensure the safety of drivers, pedestrians and workers. Traffic Controllers are often relied on for manual control of vehicles where automatic lights are unavailable, such as next to road works, construction sites, during public events and as part of a coordinated emergency response."

Nobody likes a mushy cucumber, so are you storing the versatile veggie correctly?

Cucumbers are one of the healthiest snacks out there and much like lettuce contain 96% water.

This high water volume can however make it hard to prolong the classic cuc's freshness, and while many of us assume it's best to store them in the fridge or crisper, that might not be the case.

Food blogger and chef, Jerry James Stone, has declared to his 82.6K followers on Twitter that they might be storing cucumbers all wrong!

Jerry James Stone specialises in vegetarian cooking, and after one quick scroll of his Twitter feed you'll notice he's a bit cucumber obsessed.

If you're not quite convinced that the fridge is enemy territory for the green vine plant, Melanie Mendelson of MelanieCooks.com has an equally enlightening method on how to best store cucumbers in the fridge.

Wrap each cucumber individually in a paper towel, then put all cucumbers wrapped in paper towels inside the plastic bag. Put the plastic bag with the cucumbers in a refrigerator. That’s it!  It works like magic – the cucumbers will stay perfectly fresh for the whole week!

If you're dealing with cut cucumbers (as opposed to whole) a similar method will do the trick! Wrap them in paper towels, chuck them in an airtight container, and stick them in the fridge.

driver quits job after delivery

A delivery driver has quit his job after a massive delivery tipped him over the edge, taking almost two hours to unload over 300 packages to the recipients home.

Willy N'Goran, an Amazon delivery driver in the States posted the video of the delivery that made him quit to TikTok. In the video, he writes: "The Day I Quit (sic) Amazon Deliveries.”

As he unloads the boxes one by one to the woman’s home, he writes on the video, "Note that she is opening the boxes as I deliver due to limited space."

With the boxes piling up in the front yard and taking up the driveway, the driver explains it took 1 hour and 47 minutes to unload the 314 packages. He writes, "It took 1Hour47min to deliver 314 heavy packages to this single home.”

The video went viral with over 7 million views, over 500K likes and over 10K comments (at the time of writing).

Being in America, some wrote that they hoped the driver got a good tip. One person said, "A tip of absolutely necessary at this point."

Others mentioned it would actually be an ideal delivery, being just one stop. They said, "Are you kidding this is the most ideal delivery. One stop. A house, not an apartment. Wow"

Of course, people saw the humorous side to the situation, one even saying, "Bezos we know who’s making you rich!!"

One user joked the woman would leave a note to tell him to hide the packages from her husband. They wrote:

"Leaves you a note to make sure you hide them from her husband"

Another joked saying she ordered the items on her ex’s credit card:

"When you break up with the Ex but their credit card number still on the account!"

Being more realistic, one user commented saying the items are probably for the homeless and said, "Hey those who are judging. It’s probably donations for homeless. Many people do that.”

The driver then actually confirmed it was for the local military regiment, replying to the comment with:

“Well thought. It was actually for the local military regiment."

He then explained the massive delivery was due to an error in their system which caused delays. The items were intended to be split into separate deliveries, however, N’Goran ended up being the driver who had to deliver the whole delivery in one load. He wrote:

"There was an error in the system that delayed the deliveries. They were to be split between different drivers but it went wrong. I was the last resort.”

Although he quit the delivery job, it appears he still works at Amazon, with a follow-up video to a comment asking “WHY DID YOU QUIT?” He explains in the video that he nows works from home as a manager.

A tourist was left stranded on a glass-bottomed bridge in China after strong winds damaged the structure.

The 100-meter tall bridge located in China's Jilin Province was broken when gusts of up to 150km per hour blew off pieces of the glass deck.

Firefighters and police were called to the scene and the tourist managed to successfully crawl to safety and has since been treated in hospital for psychological counseling.

Terrifying images of the man clinging to the bridge were captured and shared online. Fortunately no one else was injured.

Chinese state media have reported the resort where the bridge is located has been closed for investigation.

Glass-bottomed bridges are a popular tourist attraction in China and there are now public concerns to avoid a similar incident occurring. The most famous glass bridge is at Zhangjiajie, in Hunan, measuring 430 metres long, six metres wide and 300 metres above the ground.
