Have ever been on a few dates with someone, everything is working out, you could be ready to make that next step, but you discover a major red flag.. they are a Nickelback fan!
Well, looks like the mega dating app Tinder has got your back!
You can now vibe out to your potential matches’ favourite songs with the launch of Music Mode, the newest immersive experience available in Explore.
This gives you a chance to really get to know someone through their musical choices via a clever integration with Spotify.
Music Mode automatically plays members’ chosen Anthems - that one song that "defines them" inside and out.
It's an interesting stat from Tinder that about 40% of all Gen Z members globally have already added Anthems to their profiles and when they do, they see a nearly 10% increase in matches.
Music Mode builds on the natural ties between music and human connection by letting members find others through their love of the same tunes, all while creating a party-like atmosphere that makes their Sunday night Tinder sesh more fun.
“Now with Music Mode, our members can experience that feeling when you’re at a party and you find out someone else loves the same songs you do. It’s amazing how adding music as another element of discovery elevates the whole experience on Tinder. Songs are deeply personal, and Music Mode is a place to spark something new through music.” - Kyle Miller, VP of Product Innovation at Tinder
This new feature really adds to the digital world that IRL experience that you get from meeting a potential interest at a bar.
Like when you see someone grooving away to your favourite song and realise that you do have something in common.
It also gives you a chance to run for the digital hills if they are into a genre of music you just can't stand.
As a guide we've come up with:
5 Music Genres and What They Say About You.
Pop
Big personality, you stand out from a crowd with loads of confidence.
Rock
Bit of a rebel that likes to debate a range of topics, so get ready to have long conversations.
Metal
In most cases the opposite of pop, a lone thinker.
Classical
Intellectual with a creative flair
R&B
Lead by the heart, not by the mind.
So what music genre describes you best and what song would you link to your profile to tell the world about who you are?

Kristen Bell stars in Netflix’s new trailer for ‘The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window’
From ‘The Girl on the Train’ to ‘The Woman in the Window’, mystery crime thrillers have long captured audiences, but often use the same stereotypical film titles, storylines, thriller music and scenes of the female protagonists looking out a window watching the world go by.
So… Netflix have decided to up the ante and spoof the aforementioned films with a new eight-episode miniseries called ‘The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window’.
The series will be a hybrid of a psychological thriller and a dark, satirical comedy, starring Kristen Bell (‘The Good Place’, ‘Veronica Mars’), as the lead character Anna, whose life is like groundhog day where she drowns her sorrows in wine and prescription medication.
That’s until one day she spies on her neighbours and witnesses a murder...or was it merely a hallucination?
The show also stars Tom Riley, Samsara Yett, Michael Ealy, Mary Holland, Shelley Hennig, Cameron Britton, Christina Anthony and Benjamin Levy Aguilar.
If you’re a sucker for a crime thriller and love a good giggle, watch ‘The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window’ when it arrives on Netflix on 28th January 2022.

Let’s be honest, we all do this disgusting thing… We grab our hairbrush each morning, ignore the dead hair and bits of fluff amongst the bristles, and run it through our locks before heading off for the day.
But you might think twice about doing that after watching this video.
TikTok user everything_tidy did an experiment to see just how dirty her hairbrushes are. Spoiler alert: her caption says “This is disgusting 🤮”. And we agree.
In the video she puts all her brushes in the sink with hot water and shampoo and lets them sit. An hour later she returns and the water is… well you need to watch the video for the full horror.
@everything_tidy This is disgusting 🤮 ##fyp ##foryou

Turns out our manky, hair-filled brushes are way dirtier than we realise.
And all that matted up hair and dust sitting amongst the bristles is just spreading grease and dirt through our lovely hair every time we use the brush. Which completely defeats the purpose of using that expensive shampoo and conditioner right?
Moral of the story: yes, you need to be washing your brushes way more often that you are. But how often?
Apparently the answer is every two weeks according to TikTok user Jessica Haizman.
She’s even given us detailed instructions on how to wash our brushes properly. It’s not enough to pull out the hair and be done. You need a few rounds of detailed cleaning and then a good soaking of the brushes in water with shampoo and baking soda. Check it out and then get cleaning!

The latest episode of Australia's beloved Bluey is causing quite a stir amongst parents, with many taking issue with a kid's party scene.
The episode - aptly titled Pass The Parcel - sees Bluey's neighbour (aka Lucky's dad) frustrated with the modern-day rules of pass-the-parcel whereby every single layer contains a prize.
"We're raising a nation of squibs," he says after learning that "everyone gets a prize".
Lucky's dad then continues to reminisce about his own childhood, where the game was played with only one final prize and only one winner.
He begins to enforce these old-school pass-the-parcel rules at his own son's party saying the new generation need to just "suck it up".
While the children are visibly upset to begin with, they slowly learn over a series of birthday parties to enjoy the new rules and accept the fact that not everyone will win all of the time.
The episode has sparked a parenting debate online, with some marking it as the "greatest Bluey episode of all time," while others viewed the parenting approach as very 80s.
What do you think?
The new 'pass the parcel' episode of #Bluey is possibly the most complex observation of socio-cultural influences on parenting and growth mindset I have seen squished into 7 minutes.

OMG Bluey making the case for a return to 80s pass the parcel, I love it.

Pass the parcel should always be played with Lucky's dads rules #Bluey

It’s an extremely weird swerve that the latest three Bluey episodes have been about how kids today are too spoiled by playing Pass The Parcel wrong and about how everything being on phone apps is ruining society not like back in my day, etc.

the pass the parcel ep of bluey contains a message that those who benefit from unfair systems (often perpetrated by nostalgia of how things used to be) are the least likely to challenge them, often choosing to carry them on despite them being less good to all, in this paper I wil

“They have to suck it up!”

Is Pass the Parcel the greatest #Bluey episode of all time? And the longest?
At a children’s party today a child came up to me and asked if the pass-the-parcel was lucky’s-dad’s-rules. #win @OfficialBlueyTV #bluey #finally

This isn't the first time this family of Blue Heelers have sparked controversy online.
You might remember earlier in the year when US viewers realised some scenes had been cut from Disney's version of Bluey.
A father from North Carolina and self-confessed 'Bluey stan' took to his TikTok to point out the censored scenes.

Scenes were cut from the 'Teasing' and 'Markets' episodes.
This one was cut too, unfortunately. They edited it to make it look like the pony's tail is wagging, then cuts to the next scene. https://t.co/Wg99goYdoU
