James Corden will bow out of his late-night US TV show next year, calling it a "good time to move on and see what else might be out there".
The British comedian announced his decision during the taping of Thursday's The Late Late Show, which he began hosting in 2015.

Corden, who didn't offer details on what course his career might take next, said the late-night show "has changed my life. ... I am so proud of what we've achieved. It's been beyond my wildest, wildest dreams."
He would remain with the CBS show for another year, he said, promising it would "go out with a bang", and with "so many tears".
CBS boss George Cheeks lauded Corden for taking "huge creative and comedic swings", including the Carpool Karaoke videos in which Corden and pop stars including Adele and Paul McCartney performed sing-alongs on the road.
The network had no comment on who might replace Corden.
.@JKCorden Congratulations, James, on what will be eight incredible years at CBS. 12:30 won’t be the same without you. But looking forward to your exciting adventures as the new Doctor Who! pic.twitter.com/MGW0J9t0qe

Corden was considered an unlikely pick when he was named host of The Late Late Show. He had starred in the British sitcom Gavin & Stacey and was a Tony Award winner in 2012 for his Broadway performance in One Man, Two Guvnors, but wasn't widely known by US viewers.
Carpool Karaoke and other comedy segments including Crosswalk the Musical proved popular online, building Corden and the show's reach beyond its broadcast home.

A clever orange tabby has gained the attention of the internet with her Oscar winning performance, faking an injury to be allowed indoors.
In the video shared by Reddit user @almond0373 to the /cats thread, the cat named Susan is seen waiting patiently on a deck at a glass sliding door. With her paw held up, the owner is heard asking, "Something wrong with your paw Susan?" and Susan starts limping closer towards the door.
The owner is heard laughing and as they open the door for the cat to enter, she limps in. "It's a miracle", the owner exclaims as Susan walks in completely healed and sits in the kitchen unfazed. "Drama queen," her owner says.
The 37 second clip has over 62K upvotes and over 800 comments (at the time of writing), with many cat owners relating to the sympathy seeking act. One user wrote:
"Something wrong with your paw Susan? Susan knows how to play that sympathy card."
Others commended Susan's acting skills, commenting, "And the Oscar goes to……" in which another person punnily responded:
"That Susan, she’s a real pawformer!"
Fellow cat owners went on to share their experiences with their attention seeking pets, one sharing that they took their cat to the emergency vet. They said:
"My cat did this once after the first time we left her home alone. Took her to the emergency vet at 1:30 am, paid a couple hundred dollars. Next day suddenly she was perfectly fine, couldn’t believe it lol"
Another cat owner shared that her cat called Stinky puts on an Oscar worthy performance in the kitchen explaining:
My cat, Stinky, will stand in the kitchen like this, and wait until I call her over. Then she'll waddle her way to me while I'm eating, I'll give her a little crumb, and all of a sudden she turns into Usain Bolt to grab the food up.
Sharing that their orange tabby has learnt to be sick for sympathy, another user shared:
I’ve actually got a smart orange tabby! Like so smart sometimes it’s creepy. He knows more words than the dog and is really intuitive. My husband calls him my familiar because it honestly seems like sometimes he can read my mind. Which sucks because you CANNOT trick that bastard. He can just tell when you’re trying to do something he’s not going to like and reacts accordingly.
He also pulls this fake sick/injury crap all the time. When he was younger he got a really bad respiratory infection and his little meow was super hoarse and sad. We got him these soft treats and just fed him some every time he meowed because we felt so bad for him.
It’s been like 8 years and he STILL does that hoarse sick sounding meow every time he begs for a treat. He sounds like he’s on death’s door when he’s begging.
So it looks like Susan isn't the only drama queen pet around!
Have you caught your pets acting to get sympathy?

Robbie was officially announced to star as Barbie on Tuesday, January 9th in 2019. In an interview with Vogue in 2021, Robbie said about the movie:
“Right, it comes with a lot of baggage!” “And a lot of nostalgic connections. But with that come a lot of exciting ways to attack it. People generally hear ‘Barbie’ and think, ‘I know what that movie is going to be,’ and then they hear that Greta Gerwig is writing and directing it, and they’re like, ‘Oh, well, maybe I don’t...’”
IMDB has shared the synopsis of the film, although the full plot of the film hasn't been officially confirmed:
"A doll living in 'Barbieland' is expelled for not being perfect enough and sets off on an adventure in the real world. A Live-action feature film based on the popular line of Barbie toys."

Mining magnate Andrew "Twiggy” Forrest and partner Nicola Forrest have revealed in a recent interview that their children will not receive their total fortune worth over $27 billion and that it will go towards charitable causes instead.
In an episode of ABC’s Australian Story titled, 'The Undercover Billionaire | Nicola Forrest', the couple shared their philosophy on sharing their wealth. Andrew ‘Twiggy’ Forrest said that giving away their fortune was an easy decision. He says:
"The decision to give away everything but the personal things and the goods and chattels was really quite an easy decision. You know, let’s not die wealthy, what’s the point of that?”

Nicola goes on to share that she thinks that giving their three children, Grace, Sophia and Sydney their fortune would be a burden. She says:
"Children don’t benefit from thinking they’re going to inherit a huge amount of money. I think it’s a burden."
“You might have questions about … the way they've made their money. But clearly they've made a big commitment to supporting a whole range of causes that are unambiguously good.” #AustralianStory pic.twitter.com/723zj3VKP0
— AustralianStory (@AustralianStory) April 25, 2022
Their daughter Sophia, who is an actress says in the interview that during a school pick up, her parents shared their thoughts on giving their wealth away. She explains the moment their parents discussed it with them saying:
“Hey kids we're thinking, we're always gonna be there to take care of you, and we’ll make sure you’ll never starve to death but we have more money than we need and what do you think about giving it all away. I mean how do you say no to that?
The interview also explained the very personal motivation behind the couple's philanthropy, with the couple experiencing a tragedy during the birth of their third child, Matilda who was stillborn. This drove Nicola to help other families.
The Forrests were the first Australians to sign @BillGates @melindagates Giving Pledge. The mining billionaires plan to give away the “vast majority” of their $25bn in their lifetime. For Nicola Forrest, the reason is personal #AustralianStory pic.twitter.com/piE6A2RnJR
— AustralianStory (@AustralianStory) April 25, 2022
The couple were also the first Australians to join “The Giving Pledge” which was established by Bill and Melinda Gates and Warren Buffet. To join the club you have to be a billionaire and commit to giving away more than half of your wealth to charitable causes before you die. The Forrest’s signed the pledge in 2013 and Nicola explains in her interview:
"There reaches a certain point where you don’t need any more money. So we’ve been members of the giving pledge for almost ten years."
In their pledge letter they write:
"As a family we agreed many years ago to give away the majority of our wealth. We felt that if our children were to inherit considerable wealth, it would only get in the way of them striving for and achieving their best, and truly making a positive difference in other people's lives."
