The Playstation Showcase for 2021 came with some massive titles that if I'm honest Sony really needed to reveal. The time since the launch of the PS5 has seen very little in the way of new games and we are all ready to see exactly what this next-generation console is capable of.

What has us most excited is the ongoing is Insomniac Games announcements of Spider-Man 2 and a game based on Wolverine.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is the next game in PlayStation’s critically acclaimed Marvel’s Spider-Man franchise. Developed by Insomniac Games in collaboration with Marvel Games and PlayStation for the PS5 console.

Marvel’s Wolverine is currently in development by Insomniac Games for PlayStation 5. Created in collaboration with Marvel Games and PlayStation.

You can watch the full showcase here.

There is certainly a lot of buzz around some of the other games on show including a remake of the popular Star Wars: Knight of the Old Republic.

Fans of the popular Driving simulator franchise Gran Turismo will be happy as well. We know the game will be released in March 2022 and it looks beautiful.

There are plenty of other titles coming over the next year and its worth watching the showcase to discover more.

Now, if they can just sort out the supply issues of the actual PS5 consoles, we'll all be happy.

Retro gamers are going to be beside themselves as it has been revealed that "Classic Game Boy" and "Game Boy Color" games could soon be added to the Nintendo Switch Online subscription service.

Currently, the service gives players the ability to play a wide selection of both 80 classic NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) and around 50 SNES (Super Nintendo Entertainment System) titles.

Having the Nintendo Switch be able to go back and play some of the classic handheld games of the past could be a great move for the company. Especially by introducing it as part of their subscription service.

It's also a tad ironic considering the hardware boost company is about to introduce through the "Nintendo Switch OLED Model" that will launch in early October. You'll be able to play your "dull green dot matrix" style games on a state-of-the-art mini OLED, seems like overkill, but we'll take it.

It's been a long time coming but a new trailer for the upcoming "Metroid Dread" is here!

In the Metroid Dread on Nintendo Switch, players go to the mysterious planet ZDR, and fight against some terrifying beasts. The trailer shows off some of the abilities and weapons that Samus has at her disposal to combat them.

The new trailer shows Samus under attack from a mysterious opponent soon after she lands on planet ZDR – and that mysterious figure appears to be a Chozo.

The Chozo were a highly intelligent and technologically advanced species who believed their purpose to be that of bringing peace throughout the galaxy.

Eventually, the civilization reached a breaking point, and living Chozo are now rarely seen.

Who is this Chozo warrior, and why do they attack Samus so fiercely?

The great news is there isn't long to wait to find out as Metroid Dread launches for Nintendo Switch on 8th October.
