Minecraft is partnering with Sega to release a Sonic the Hedgehog DLC pack in the Minecraft Marketplace as part of the blue blur’s 30th-anniversary celebrations!
Players can fulfil their need for speed at famous Sonic the Hedgehog locations such as Green Hills Zone and Chemical Plant Zone. Collect rings, dash past obstacles, defeat bosses and build momentum as you run toward a high score.
The first Sonic game was released in 1991 for the Sega Genesis (Sega Mega Drive in Australia). It was reportedly developed after Sega requested a mascot character to compete with Nintendo's mascot Mario.
Its success helped Sega become one of the leading video game companies during the fourth generation of video game consoles in the early 1990s.
So really, Sonic looked less blocky in 16bit in 1991 than he does today on Minecraft, but that is all part of the Minecraft charm that sucks in millions of gamers for hours of fun.

All eyes were on Nintendo's E3 event where fans were expecting more footage from the sequel to “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild” and they were not disappointed.
The sequel is targeting a release at some point in 2022, and the powerful clip shows off an open world that seems very familiar to the first game but with a key difference, now the journey takes you to the skies.
Above the magical world of Hyrule are enormous floating islands and it's here that will form the base for the new adventure as Link can transport to them for previously unseen environments.
The actual specifics of the game are closely guarded secret for now, including the actual game title which has potential spoilers in it, so for now we can just call it Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 and wait a little longer for release.
