Five new farmers are looking for love and the first look for the newest season of 'Farmer Wants A Wife' has been released!

In this season, we’ve been promised more than one farmer will find love.

Channel 7 has shown us a new sneak peek at the reality dating show and in the footage we see our five farmers, Sam, Matt, Andrew, Will, and Rob meeting the girls for the first time.

Natalie Gruzlewski will return to host the series. She expressed her excitement about the new season in a statement:

“I’m so excited to guide our newest crop of nervous and loveable Aussie farmers in their search for true love."

“These farmers and ladies have opened their farms and hearts in the hope of finding their happily ever after, and it’s a privilege to be a part of their life-changing love stories.”

The five farmers will choose eight women each to join them on speed dates and then will narrow down to five women who they’ll get to know more.

Get a sneak peek and meet our farmers below!

Farmer Will, 39
Sheep and Cattle Farmer, Longwood, VIC

"I am honest and energetic, love a party, but I also very much enjoy my downtime. I much prefer to be outside than indoors, I love almost all animals, I’m just a pretty normal down to earth bloke really!"

Farmer Matt, 26
Beef and Fodder Farmer, Orbost, VIC

"I am an easy-going farmer who loves a bit of banter, am very sociable and a good communicator. Wise beyond my years with a solid work ethic and incredibly driven. Love a good challenge and the sense of achievement that comes with accomplishment yet, can use my failures for future growth."

Farmer Sam, 24
Sheep and Crop Farmer, Canowindra, NSW

"I’m a fun, loving person with a heart of gold and a great sense of humour. I am an adventurous soul and am looking for someone to go on adventures with."

Farmer Andrew, 30
Sheep Farmer, Delegate, NSW

"I’m a pretty laid-back genuine guy who likes a good time. I don’t like to take myself too seriously and enjoy being around good friends and family. I wear my heart on my sleeve and consider myself fun loving, loyal and easy going. I would rather spend my money on experiences and making memories than material things."

Farmer Rob, 40
Sheep and Cattle Farmer, Snowy Mountains, NSW

"I am an easy going country bloke who is very happy with my life, I’m highly driven, love my work and love to make the most of life."

Dozens of baby squid from Hawaii have been blasted into space in a bid to help solve health problems faced by human astronauts.

The baby Hawaiian bobtail squid were raised at the University of Hawaii's Kewalo Marine Laboratory and were sent into space earlier this month on a SpaceX resupply mission to the International Space Station.

Researcher Jamie Foster, who completed her doctorate at the University of Hawaii, is studying how spaceflight affects the squid in hopes of bolstering human health during long space missions, the Honolulu Star-Advertiser reported on Monday.

The squid have a symbiotic relationship with natural bacteria that help regulate their bioluminescence.

When astronauts are in low gravity their body's relationship with microbes changes, said University of Hawaii professor Margaret McFall-Ngai, who Foster studied under in the 1990s.

"We have found that the symbiosis of humans with their microbes is perturbed in microgravity, and Jamie has shown that is true in squid," Professor McFall-Ngai said.

"And, because it's a simple system, she can get to the bottom of what's going wrong."

Foster is now a Florida professor and principal investigator for a NASA program that researches how microgravity affects the interactions between animals and microbes.

"As astronauts spend more and more time in space, their immune systems become what's called dysregulated. It doesn't function as well," Professor Foster said.

"Their immune systems don't recognise bacteria as easily. They sometimes get sick."

Foster said understanding what happens to the squid in space could help solve health problems faced by astronauts.

"There are aspects of the immune system that just don't work properly under long-duration spaceflights," she said.

"If humans want to spend time on the moon or Mars, we have to solve health problems to get them there safely."

The Kewalo Marine Laboratory breeds the squid for research projects around the world.

The tiny animals - about 7.6cm long as adults - are plentiful in Hawaiian waters.

The squid will come back to earth in July.

Everybody! Backstreet’s back and *NSYNC are too! The two iconic boy bands teamed up to create a new band “Back-Sync".

They performed together for the first time at a sold-out event in L.A, on June 19, 2021.

Backstreet Boys members AJ McLean and Nick Carter along with *NSYNC’s Joey Fatone and Lance Bass have come together to create the ultimate boy band which apparently has been a long time coming. Backstreet Boys’ McLean told Variety during a show rehearsal:

New album coming soon!!!! Let’s go!!

"Everybody’s wanted us to do something together and now we get to come together for an amazing cause.”

Fatone from *NSYNC said:

“It’s interesting to have the four of us knuckleheads do something together, which you’ve never seen before… BSB fans are very loyal, so we’re going, ‘We get it – certain people liked one band or the other back in the day, but now it’s okay to like both.’”

The four band members joined forces for 'Bingo Under the Stars', a Pride event in L.A supporting the Trevor Project which aims to save young LGBTQ lives.

Nick Carter wrote on his Instagram: "The four of us joined forces to celebrate love, unity and acceptance. Thank you to everyone that supported in person and virtually. It’s more important than ever to spread love #tsukisavestheworld #pride"

The new foursome performed *NSYNC’s “Bye, Bye, Bye” and Backstreet Boys hit “I Want It That Way”.

When questioned about a tour, McLean said he’d welcome back Justin Timberlake and that if a tour were to happen, it’d have to be all ten members. He said:

“Fans still want a Backstreet/*NSYNC tour, but it’s got to be all 10 of us. It’s the only way to make it work, so I think he’d be sleeping on it if he didn’t do it, but he’s a dad doing his thing and I completely respect that. This four is a dream team right now.”
