To celebrate their 50th Anniversary in Australia, McDonald's are offering Big Mac burgers for just 50 cents. Here's how to get them!

The global fast-food chain that first opened it's doors downunder in 1971, will celebrate the milestone by making their iconic Big Mac burgers available for 50 cents on Friday 18 June.

With over 1,000 McDonald's restaurants across the nation, Friday marks the beginning of an array of celebratory weekly deals, which will run until the end of August.

To claim your 50c Big Mac, simply order through the MyMacca's App. 

McDonald's now employees over 107,000 Aussies, and has served us over 1.1 billion Big Macs over the last 50 years.

Alicia Silverstone has taken to TikTok to let everyone know that we've been mispronouncing her name for years.

While a majority of us have been saying Alicia as a pretty standard "Aleesha".

It turns out we couldn't be more wrong and that does not apply to the Hollywood stars actual name.

Soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo's removal of two Coca-Cola bottles during a press conference at the European Championship has coincided with a more than $A5 billion fall in the share price of the drinks giant.

The Portugal captain is a renowned health fanatic and make it clear what he thinks of the carbonated soft drink.

The 36-year-old shifted the bottles of Coca-Cola away from him during a press conference on Monday in the prelude to his country's Group F game against Hungary.

Ronaldo followed it by holding up bottle of water before declaring in Portuguese: 'Agua!', appearing to encourage people to choose that instead.

Coca-Cola share price dropped from $US56.10 ($73) to $US55.22 ($71.86) almost immediately after Ronaldo's gesture, a 1.6 per cent dip.

The market value of Coca-Cola went from $US242b ($315.2b) to $US238b ($310b) - a drop of $US4b ($5.2b).

Coca-Cola, one of the official sponsors of Euro 2020, replied on Tuesday with a statement that read in part "everyone is entitled to their drink preferences" with different "tastes and needs".

A Euros spokesperson said: "Players are offered water, alongside Coca-Cola and Coca-Cola Zero Sugar, on arrival at our press conferences."

Ronaldo is one of the greatest soccer players in history and a pop culture colossus, boasting nearly 300 million Instagram followers.

On Tuesday, Ronaldo scored twice in a 3-0 win over Hungary in Budapest for European champions Portugal - moving beyond France legend Michel Platini as the record goalscorer at the European Championship finals with 11.

Gone Girl actress Lisa Banes has died 10 days after being injured in a hit-and-run accident in New York City.

The 65-year-old Banes, who was struck by a scooter or motorcycle while crossing a street on June 4, died on Monday at Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital, a police department spokesman said.

Banes appeared in numerous television shows and movies, including Gone Girl in 2014 and Cocktail with Tom Cruise in 1988.

On television, she had roles on Nashville, Madam Secretary, Masters of Sex and NCIS.

Her manager David Williams said Banes was hit as she was crossing Amsterdam Avenue on the way to visit the Juilliard School, her alma mater.

Police have made no arrests.
