Hugh Jackman has paid tribute to his "extraordinary" father after his death.
The Greatest Showman star, 52, revealed his father Christopher died on Sunday, which was Father's Day in Australia.
He wrote on Twitter: "In the early hours of Father's Day (AU), my Dad peacefully passed away.
"And whilst there is deep sadness, I'm filled with such gratitude and love.
"My dad was, in a word, extraordinary.
"He devoted his life to his family, his work and his faith.
"I pray he's now at peace with God."

Jackman's parents moved to Australia from England as part of the Ten Pound Poms migration scheme in the 1960s.
He has previously revealed his mother left Australia and returned to England when he was a child, leaving his father to raise five children alone.
He has since reconciled with his mother and shared a photo of her on Instagram last month.
The Wolverine actor has praised him as a formative presence in his life, previously writing on Instagram: "Happy Father's Day to the man who taught me to show respect for others, for education, for being led by your passions.
"Who taught me to never stop growing and learning.
"To work hard and realise that preparation is the bedrock for success.
"And above all, to find purpose beyond oneself.
"I love you dad!"

COVID-19 home tests could be approved in a matter of weeks, according to Health Minister Greg Hunt.
The Therapeutic Goods Administration is weighing making rapid antigen tests - which return results in as little as 15 minutes - available in more settings.
While there are 28 tests approved for use, a number of conditions including supervision and location mean the method is largely restricted to a handful of workplaces.
Health Minister Greg Hunt is confident the medicines regulator will sign off on home tests in coming weeks or months.
"This is absolutely where the nation's heading," he told 2GB radio on Monday.
"We'll have not just the workplace tests, not just the PCR tests - the ones where you go to the clinics - but the home tests are on the way."
Home testing kits are being used in the United Kingdom, United States and Europe.
ATP, at home covid tests need to be given out like masks

TGA boss John Skerritt last week told a Senate committee rapid antigen tests were less reliable than PCR and worked more effectively when coronavirus was more common.
Professor Skerritt also said new instructions were needed for the tests to make them understandable for people without training.
Mr Hunt said the TGA was examining how rapid testing could be used without the supervision of a health worker.
"They're being used in workplaces in aged care elsewhere and then the next frontier is to move for approval on the home front," he said.
He said while some state chief health officers were not supportive, there was now momentum to allow home tests.

Jessica and Lisa Origliasso announced that their mum has tragically lost her long battle with progressive supernuclear palsy.
The Veronicas' mother, Colleen, was diagnosed with PSP in 2018. According to NHS progressive supranuclear palsy "is a rare progressive condition that can cause problems with balance, movement, vision, speech and swallowing. It's caused by increasing numbers of brain cells becoming damaged over time."
The twins took to social media to post a tribute to their beloved mum.
"Our angel mama and bestfriend Colleen Francis Origliasso ascended into the heavens this past Wednesday, on the beautiful afternoon of September 1st 2021. The first day of Spring, her favourite time of year."
"She spent her final weeks at home with us in our loving arms and care. There has been no greater honour or blessing than having her as our mummy."
"She was the greatest connector of all things, had the biggest heart for community & charity, a lifelong supporter of the arts, LGBT+ community, a passionate volunteer for animals and conservation, and she made everyone she met feel like family. And she loved music more than anything else."
The Aussie pop duo admired their mother, calling her strength and compassion "limitless", and her laugh "the most beautiful thing in the world."
Lisa and Jess ended the touching tribute by encouraging their followers to join in the celebration of Colleen's life by having a dance and donating to a charity she was passionate about.
"Please turn up some KD LANG and have a dance in her honour."
"If you wish to make a donation in her honour, here is a list of organisations she is passionate about."
The organisations included Wildlife Warriors, Swara, Brain Foundation and Sea Shepherd.
