HBO's big next fantasy series is a spin-off of Game of Thrones called "House of the Dragon".

The 10-episode season is set to premiere its first episode on Binge and Foxtel on August 22 and will arrive weekly after that.

It's said that the cost of the series is somewhere in the $300 Million range so when compared to the final season of Game ot Thrones which came in at around $130 Million, we could be in for a bit of a show here.

It could have something to do with the number of dragons that appear in this new season as there could be around 17 of them flying around, breaking and burning things.

Game of Thrones was a show that made careers for some young up-and-coming actors and while a few major stars appeared in it this new series has not spared any dollars bringing in some well know actors that can deliver the goods right from the get-go.

Here's a list of stars to look out for when you and the rest of the world tune in on August 22nd.

Olivia Cooke - Alicent Hightower

Olivia Cooke is an English actor with a history of ballet and gymnastics. At an early age, she performed in the theatre before moving into television through shows like "Blackout" and "The Secret of Crickley Hall". Her stand-out performance in the 2014 film "The Quiet Ones" then led to a role that she is most known for, that of Emma Decody in the drama/thriller based on the Psycho movie "Bates Motel" as well as Becky Sharp in the miniseries "Vanity Fair". Now we'll see her in Game of Thrones: House of Dragon as Alicent Hightower.

Paddy Considine - King Viserys Targaryen

Patrick (Paddy) Considine is an English actor who featured in a few well-known independent films during the 2000s. His most significant role might have been in "Dead Man's Shoes" in 2004, but he also played great parts in "Stoned" in 2005 and "Cinderella Man". Other films you'd recognise Considine from including The Bourne Ultimatum, Hot Fuzz and The World's End. He's that actor that when you see him on the screen you immediately try to remember what you've seen him in before.

Graham McTavish - Ser Harrold Westerling

If you love fantasy there's a good chance you'll remember Graham McTavish. His roles in the series "Outlander" and as Dwaine in Peter Jackson's "The Hobbit" series have made him a memorable actor on our screens. You might even remember McTavish from powerful films like 2008's "Rambo" with Sly Stallone and "Creed" in 2015.

Matt Smith - Prince Daemon Targaryen

Where do I know Matt Smith from? Doctor Who, Doctor Who and Doctor Who.

Matt Smith was cast as the Eleventh incarnation of classic Science Fiction hero "The Doctor". But did you know the English-born actor made his debut in "The Ruby and The Smoke" before being the youngest actor to take on the role of the iconic Time Lord?

Since leaving that series in 2013 Matt Smith has been seen in "The Crown" playing Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, Last Night in Soho, Terminator Genisys and the Marvel-based Vampire movie "Morbius".

If you haven't seen it yet, get ready to pop this trailer on a loop so you can catch all the hidden gems.

Game of Thrones is back and we are here for it!

rita ora and taika waititi 600x400

Rita Ora and Taika Waititi have reportedly tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in London.

Rita Ora has done little to nothing in silencing the rumours that she and Taika Waititi had wed by sporting a new gold band and it's said that she has already changed her surname and will now be referred to as Mrs Waititi-Ora.

The couple are said to have got engaged two months ago after going public in August 2021, and sources now claim that the two are organising a massive party to celebrate their intimate wedding.

A source told The Sun: 'It was a really intimate ceremony and super special for everyone there. Their nearest and dearest can see how madly in love they are."

Australian singer and actress Dame Olivia Newton-John has died at the age of 73, her husband has confirmed.

The British-born singer died "peacefully" at her ranch in Southern California on Monday morning, surrounded by family and friends.

Newton-John is best known for her starring role in the 1978 film Grease, in which she starred opposite John Travolta as Sandy.

In a statement posted to Instagram, her husband John Easterling wrote: "We ask that everyone please respect the family's privacy during this very difficult time.

"Olivia has been a symbol of triumphs and hope for over 30 years sharing her journey with breast cancer.

"Her healing inspiration and pioneering experience with plant medicine continues with the Olivia Newton-John Foundation Fund, dedicated to researching plant medicine and cancer."

Mr Easterling added that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Newton-John's foundation.

She is survived by her husband as well as her daughter Chloe Lattanzi.

Woody Harrelson has penned a poem to his lookalike twin, a little baby called Cora.

Cora’s mum Dani Grier Mulvenna posted a photo to Twitter showing her adorable 9-month-old daughter with a toothy grin next to a photo of Woody Harrelson. In her caption, she pondered how her daughter looks like the Hollywood actor.

The post has had more than half a million likes and nearly 30,000 retweets.

And in the cutest response ever, Harrelson wrote a poem to young Cora about her smile and hair, which he posted to his Instagram.

Ode to Cora-
You're an adorable child
Flattered to be compared
You have a wonderful smile
I just wish I had your hair

Mum Dani commented on Harrelson's post that the poem had made their day. "Can't wait to show her this when she's older, you have another fan for life xxx," she wrote.

The sweet exchange has made plenty of people smile, with one person commenting "Wholesome Harrelson" on his Instagram post, with a few jokingly saying, "If were the dad, i would be asking questions 😂😂"

But does Cora really look like Harrelson?

Cora's mum posted an update thanking everyone for their comments and sharing a different photo of Cora with a caption, "She doesn't always look like Woody Harreslon, it's just that when she does...she really really does xxx"

But plenty of people still thought Cora looked like Harrelson.
