We can't stop talking about the Netflix show that has taken the world by storm. But did you know there are others that are just as good if not better? Here are 5 must-watch shows or movies that you need to add to your list if you liked Squid Game.
1) Alice in Borderland
This action-thriller is based on the anime about a gamer named Arisu who suddenly finds himself in a strange, emptied-out version of Tokyo in which he and his friends must compete in dangerous games to survive. Fans are blowing up that Squid Game is getting all the attention whereas this show is as good if not better.
2) Battle Royale
This is a movie that every gamer and watcher of Squid Game should watch. Battle Royale is about a group of high school students who are part of a program to kill each other on an island or else be killed by the government until only one is left. If you liked King's Game, then this series will make your heart race.
3) Liar Game
This is another Korean series based on an anime and is about a woman named Nao Kanzaki, who gets blackmailed by a genius swindler into joining the Liar Game Tournament where she has to participate in various games and outwit other players if she wants to get her life back. If you liked the suspense and tension of Squid Game, then you'll love this.
4) The Hunger Games
Yeah, it might seem a bit obvious because of just how massive these movies were, but you can't deny the similarities. In a world where North America has been destroyed from war and famine, all hope is lost for many American's including Katness Everdeen. It's full of suspense and a fight for power and it doesn't hurt that Jennifer Lawrence is such a great actress plus we'll throw in a Hemsworth for good measure.
5) Old Boy
Picking a version of Old Boy is the hardest thing to do. There's the 2003 Korean film or the anime but we'd recommend the 2013 remake with Josh Brolin and Elizabeth Olsen (yeah Thanos and Wanda from the Marvel Movies). Directed by Spike Lee The story is about a man who wakes up in an apartment with no idea how he got there. He is imprisoned for 20 years without any explanation of why or what's going on until he decides to take his revenge and seek out answers. Watch this if you enjoyed the dark antihero of Squid Game.
So these are just some of the shows and movies that you need to watch if you enjoyed Squid Game. Even if you didn't like Squid Game, these are still must-watch shows. So what are you waiting for?

After taking a five-year break from the spotlight, Adele is back with a new look in her latest appearance on not just one, but two covers of Vogue Magazine.
It is the first time ever where both British Vogue and American Vogue has shared the same cover star and it marks the reemergence of the 33-year-old British music star since her last interview five years ago.
British Vogue took to social media to share their version of the cover photographed by Steven Meisel, which talks about her 'new love, new look and new sound.' They shared:
"In a spectacular transatlantic takeover by one of the biggest-selling female artists of the 21st century, for the first time in history #BritishVogue and American @VogueMagazine share a cover star: the inimitable @Adele.
In her first interview in five years, the British icon gets candid with Vogue’s @GilesHattersley about new music, body image, romance, divorce, single parenthood and her “self-redemption” album. See the full story in the new issue, on newsstands Friday 8 October. And click the link in bio to read the interview in full.”
American Vogue also shared their cover photographed by Alasdair McLellan to social media with the text on the cover saying, "The reemergence of Adele. "I know what I want. And I really know what I don't want." They shared on the post, "Hello, again. For the first time ever Vogue and @BritishVogue profile one cover star. @Adele is back—and this reemergence is different. For Vogue’s November issue, Adele opens up about motherhood, anxiety, separation and divorce—and how she’s getting ready to be famous again."
In a candid interview with British Vogue, titled, "Adele, Reborn: The British Icon Gets Candid About Divorce, Body Image, Romance & Her “Self-Redemption" written by Giles Hattersley, Adele talks about her body image and weight loss. She said, "People have been talking about my body for 12 years. They used to talk about it before I lost weight. But yeah, whatever, I don’t care.”
Talking about the reasoning behind the weight loss, she said it wasn't about losing weight, it was about her anxiety. Adele explained, “It was because of my anxiety. Working out, I would just feel better. It was never about losing weight, it was always about becoming strong and giving myself as much time every day without my phone. I got quite addicted to it. I work out two or three times a day.”

In American Vogue, her interview titled, "Adele on the Other Side" written by Abby Aguirre, Adele talks about her heartbreak during her divorce in 2019 with her ex-husband, Simon Konecki. She said about the divorce and her son Angelo, “If I can reach the reason why I left, which was the pursuit of my own happiness, even though it made Angelo really unhappy—if I can find that happiness and he sees me in that happiness, then maybe I’ll be able to forgive myself for it.”
“He has so many simple questions for me that I can’t answer, because I don’t know the answer. Like, Why can’t we still live together? That’s just not what people do when they get divorced. But why not? I’m like, I don’t ******* know. That’s not what society does. And: Why don’t you love my dad anymore? And I’d be like, I do love your dad. I’m just not in love. I can’t make that make sense to a nine-year-old.”
Speaking about her new music and upcoming album, she wrote: “I realized that I was the problem. Cause all the other albums are like, You did this! You did that! **** you! Why can’t you arrive for me? Then I was like: Oh, ***, I’m the running theme, actually. Maybe it’s me!”
When asked if the new record would be a 'divorce album', Adele replied, “He’s not one of my exes. He’s the dad of my child.” If the new album is a divorce album, it’s a different kind of divorce album. “It was more me divorcing myself."
“It’s sensitive for me, this record, just in how much I love it. I always say that 21 doesn’t belong to me anymore. Everyone else took it into their hearts so much. I’m not letting go of this one. This is my album. I want to share myself with everyone, but I don’t think I’ll ever let this one go.”

Every year at around this time Michael Bublé comes out of hibernation to peddle his latest Christmas Album.
Well according to the man himself he's "seen the memes" and there's a completely different reason he lives in a cave for most of the year.
The hilarious video is a sign that Buble has a great sense of humour and loves to laugh at himself. No wonder we love him so much here in Australia.
The crooner is also happy to be back touring in the US on his 2021 North American Tour. He's also heading of to Europe after that so it won't belong til we seen him downunder again.

October 8 - is World Octopus Day!
Because... OCTober and 8. Get it? Too clever, just like our many-brained octopus friends! (Seriously, they have more than one brain, read on.)
To celebrate World Octopus Day, we're sharing 8 astonishing facts that show just how awesomely cool these creatures are.
And just to clarify, octopus and squid are not the same, and neither are octopus and calamari. So go on, order the calamari, we won't be sad.
Before we start, we must tell you to watch the hit documentary My Octopus Teacher on Netflix. It came out in 2020 and is no ordinary nature documentary. Trust us.
It tells the amazing story of filmmaker Craig Foster's unlikely friendship with a wild octopus he met in the massive kelp forests off Cape Town, South Africa and it has all the feels! It's heartwarming, heartbreaking, tender and joyful - and I guarantee you’ll find yourself falling in love with the little cephalopod too by the end!
Now onto the octopus facts:
1. They’re older than dinosaurs
The oldest known octopus fossil has been traced back to an animal that lived almost 300 million years ago!
2. They’re super smart
Octopuses are the third most intelligent animal on earth, after humans and dolphins, and the most intelligent of all the invertebrates. And it’s not hard to see why. They use tools, carry their shelters around for when they need them, and some species even hunt with weapons. They can learn to navigate mazes and open jars containing tasty crabs. Makes you want to have a pet octopus at home to help in the kitchen doesn't it!? (Skip to about the 50 second mark if you’re impatient to see the amazing feat of an octopus opening a jar in the video below).
3. They have three hearts and blue blood
They almost sound like aliens, don’t they? Two of the hearts pump blood just to their gills, while the third heart sends blood to the rest of their body.
And their blood is blue because it’s contains a copper-rich protein which works better for them since they live in very cold waters with low oxygen.
4. They have nine brains
They have one central brain and then another brain (called a ganglion) at the base of each tentacle to control movement. That's impressive.
5. The deadliest is the Blue-ringed Octopus
We live in Australia, so we’re used to small and cute things being deadly. The Blue-ringed Octopus is one of the most deadliest creatures in the world, and can stop your breathing in 30 minutes if you don’t get medical attention.
6. The biggest is the Giant Pacific Octopus
As its name suggests, the Giant Pacific Octopus is the biggest of them and it lives longer than all other octopuses too. The biggest one recorded was 9 metres across and it weighed more than 270 kilograms.
7. They actually have six arms and two legs
We think of octopuses as having eight tentacles, but scientists studying them discovered they use two tentacles at the back of their body to crawl and walk around, sometimes even pushing off rocks and the seabed with them. They use their remaining tentacles to grab food and propel themselves through the water.
8. They don't have bones
Since they don't have bones, they are excellent escape artists and can squeeze through the smallest of spaces. In fact, they can fit through any hole bigger than their eyes! Just like this one here:
Want more ocotpus goodness? Go and check out the Octolab, where you can request an experiment with an octopus to see how they interact with the world, like playing a guitar or escaping a room or watching itself in a mirror. It's mesmerising!
