lining up for woolies chicken

The supermarket hot chook is a staple in many households and one shopper has gone to extra lengths to claim the first ones out of the oven. A witnessing shopper has shared the amusing footage of a super keen customer who was camping out at the hot chicken stand in the supermarket.

TikTok user Nik (@lostintheteatree) shared footage of their visit to Woolworths when they captured the video of the eager chicken shopper. Overlaid with music from the Mission Impossible theme, the video shows Nik noticing the shopper standing by a deli worker who was marking down some products. Nik explains to us:

"One of the deli girls was marking down some products, and the lady was standing there ready to take the markdowns.”

Nik then explains they had done a couple of laps of the supermarket and found the eager shopper sat down by the chickens, waiting for them to come out:

"I cut a couple of laps, and found that she’d sat down and was waiting for the chooks to come out."

Nik says the woman was already sitting down waiting for her 'Country Style Hot Roast' at least 10 minutes before they started filming. Nik tells us they filmed the amusing encounter to show their sons but decided to share the video to TikTok to give people a giggle.

"I filmed it to show my sons to begin with. We love sending each other silly chaotic videos, I knew they would get a laugh, I decided to edit the clips and post to TikTok I thought would give people a giggle!"

Viewers saw the amusement at the situation, one questioning why, commenting, "why is there a seat πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚β€ Another said chicken buying was now a competitive sport, writing "Who knew buying hot chickens was a competitive sport." Others praised her dedication saying, "πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ the little stool! dedication!”

bega vegemite featured

Vegemite on its own or with other foods? It's the classic debate...

Cheesybite - the Vegemite and cream cheese combo offering a toned down version of the Aussie classic - has been relaunched as Vegemite & Cheese.

The refresh includes a new look as well, with the label proudly showing the Aussie-owned Bega logo, and of course it’s now made from Bega Cream Cheese.

Bega bought Vegemite off American-owned Kraft in 2017, returning it to Australian hands, and this is the first major product launch since then.

The 'new' product has confused some people and brought up memories of previous versions of this Vegemite and cheese combo, including the disaster that was iSnack 2.0 back in 2009.

At least we can blame Kraft for that.

One commenter thought the new product was fine, but said its presentation needed some swirly goodness.

But most of all it has reignited the age-old debate about how we eat Vegemite.

Are you a purist, choosing only to eat it on toast with butter, or are you a fan of Vegemite and other foods?

Yes, this one's real!

The Jurassic World Dominion trailer has just dropped along with our jaws.

Dinosaurs roam free around the world but can they co-exist with humans?

That's the question posed in this massive 3-minute long trailer for the new movie.

And spoiler alert, they can't.

Seeing Chris Pratt out in a snow-covered country setting wrangling dinosaurs on horseback is the perfect opening scene.

Laura Dern, Sam Neil and Jeff Goldblum return to join the Jurassic World trilogies conclusion.

The moment when you see the original cast alongside the new cast is amazing.

So much nostalgia dripping, the cleaners just sent out for more mops.
