There have been 1099 new cases of covid19 for the 24 hours to eight o'clock last night.
That includes 664 positive PCR tests and 435 positive rapid antigen tests.
A breakdown of the positive PCR tests is provided below:
* 324 cases from Wollongong Local Government Area (LGA)
* 167 cases from Shellharbour LGA
* 143 cases from Shoalhaven LGA
* 30 cases from Kiama LGA
In the Hunter New England there are 64 cases receiving care in hospitals.
Sadly two women in their 80's have died.
One was from Mid Coast LGA, and the other from Tamworth Regional LGA.
In the Southern NSW Health District, there were 407 new cases including 44 in the Eurobodalla LGA
257 cases were detected by PCR tests and 150 cases were detected by RAT tests.
In the Wingecarribee there are currently 829 active cases.
Across the state and another 29 people with Covid have died.
The number of people with the virus in intensive care and hospital has dropped.
21,030 new cases have been recorded, with more being detected through P-C-R tests.
