Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District is continuing to urge the community to get vaccinated and come forward for testing, after recording 6 positive COVID-19 cases in the 24 hours to 8 pm last night.

Of the 6 new cases, three are from the Wollongong Local Government Area.

Two are from the Shellharbour LGA

One is from the Shoalhaven LGA

No cases are from the Kiama LGA

There have now been 2,344 local cases of COVID-19 in the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District since the start of the current outbreak in June.

As of 8 pm Friday 22 October, there were 21 COVID-19 patients being treated in hospital.

Southern NSW Local Health District has been notified of five new COVID-19 cases in the 24 hours to 8.00 pm last night.

Three new cases are in the Queanbeyan Palerang region.

Two new cases are in the Yass Valley region.

This brings the total cases in Southern NSW Health District to 415 since the start of the current outbreak in
June.

There are 78 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Hunter New England

The 78 new cases take the total number in the current outbreak to 2,569.

There are currently 892 active cases there.
