The annual September event, 'Ticketek has crashed' was in full swing today, leaving footy fanatics and concert goers frustrated with extensive wait times.
Now, people have made mistakes before and I'm sure will continue to do so, but are there any bigger mistakes than the the one of self proclaimed 'Global Leader in Ticketing and Technology' today releasing tickets for AFL and NRL finals as well as a big nation wide concert tour?
Wait times for people have reportedly been over 3 hours just to get into the website.

Once in the website, people are hit with huge prices and in some cases members of clubs are getting the "worst seats in the house for the biggest price."
Hey @sydneyswans We’ve been top paying members for more than a decade, and the tickets offered by Ticketek to us for this weekend’s final are absolute shite; worse seats in the house for the biggest price. What’s going on? Offer us our members seat and we’re happy to pay top $

Some hopefully event goers were even in the final stages of their purchase, only to be booted form the website, lose their tickets and spot in the queue only to have to try and begin the whole process again.
Nice one Ticketek, had 2 tickets for the Swans prelim final in the basket and then booted us out when entering payment details. Now, no tickets left. Womp Womp. #AFLFinals

One particular twitter user was marvelling at the level of genius displayed by the ticket company and said
Masterminds… AFL, NRL, Luke Combs.. let’s release it at the same time..

People also took to the social media platform to offer the company some advice for future planning...
Dear @Ticketek_AU you obviously had a shocker this morning. Maybe next time don’t have NRL and AFL finals tickets on sale the same time as a Luke Coombs national concert. If you spread them over two days, Your system may not crash. Happy to help with the planning 🤗

Reports are that the annual event will be able to be viewed around the same time in 2023.
