blink 182 mark hoppus announces he is cancer free

After revealing his battle with stage 4 diffuse large B-cell lymphoma cancer earlier in 2021, Mark Hoppus from Blink-182 has shared some fantastic news with his fans, announcing he is now cancer free.

Hoppus took to social media to share the news in a post saying, "Just saw my oncologist and I’m cancer free!! Thank you God and universe and friends and family and everyone who sent support and kindness and love. Still have to get scanned every six months and it’ll take me until the end of the year to get back to normal but today is an amazing day and I feel so blessed. Can I get a W in the chat?"

The 49-year-old announced his diagnosis in a post in June 2021, telling his fans he had been undergoing chemotherapy for the three months prior.

He said in the post, "For the past three months I've been undergoing chemotherapy for cancer. I have cancer. It sucks and I'm scared, and at the same time I'm blessed with incredible doctors and family and friends to get me through this. I still have months of treatment ahead of me but I'm trying to remain hopeful and positive. Can't wait to be cancer free and see you all at a concert in the near future. Love to you all."

In an update after the initial post, Hoppus shared some good news in July saying his scans indicated that his treatment was working.

Hoppus wrote: "Scans indicate that the chemo is working! I still have months of treatment ahead, but it’s the best possible news.” “I’m so grateful and confused and also sick from last week’s chemo. But the poison the doctors pump into me and the kind thoughts and wishes of the people around me are destroying this cancer. Just gonna keep fighting…”

On September 16, he revealed he had completed his last chemotherapy session and was awaiting his scan on the 29th to reveal his now good news.
